Manual Therapy

Targeted hands-on techniques to reduce pain/stiffness and restore easy MVMT—always paired with exercise so results last.

Techniques we use

— when they add value

Joint Mobilization

Restores motion in stiff or restricted joints when MVMT feels blocked.

Manipulation (when appropriate)

A quick technique to restore joint motion and reduce pain sensitivity.

Soft Tissue Techniques

Reduces muscle guarding and sensitivity that restricts motion.

Active Muscle Release

Hands-on pressure combined with guided MVMT.

MVMT Pain

What it helps with

Manual therapy helps when pain, stiffness, or muscle guarding is limiting your ability to move, load, or train — especially early in rehab or during flare-ups.

What to expect

Sessions involve short, targeted hands-on work chosen based on how your body responds that day — not a preset routine.

Techniques are applied within your tolerance and followed immediately by simple drills to lock in the change. As MVMT improves, hands-on care decreases and exercise takes over.

Benefits

Manual therapy is a tool — not the treatment. We use it when it helps you move forward, and phase it out when it doesn’t

If pain keeps coming back, it’s time to address the root cause

FAQ

We test how your joints, muscles, and nerves move first, then re-test after hands-on work. The areas that create the biggest change in your MVMT or symptoms are the ones we focus on.

Manual therapy doesn’t permanently realign joints. It helps reduce stiffness and pain sensitivity so you can move better — lasting change comes from how you load and move afterward.

We’ll give you 1–2 simple drills to reinforce the changes from treatment. These help maintain mobility, reduce flare-ups, and support long-term progress.
