Corrective Exercise Works When Pain Is Driven By—

Generic rehab fails because it treats the location of pain, not the loading pattern causing it. Corrective exercise works when we know exactly which mechanical error to correct.

  • Poor load tolerance — symptoms that flare with activity and settle at rest
  • Repeated flare-ups despite doing "everything right"
  • Fear or uncertainty around returning to movement after injury
  • Weakness or loss of control after injury or surgery
  • Asymmetry between sides — strength, balance, or movement quality
  • Sport, work, or training movements that keep provoking symptoms

How It Works at MVMT Kinetic

  • 01
    Assessment first

Find the loading fault — not just the symptom

We identify weak links, faulty movement patterns, and the directional bias driving your symptoms. We don't start with exercises — we start with answers.

  • 02
    Targeted prescription

2–3 high-value drills — chosen for your pattern

Not the same exercises everyone gets. Each drill is selected because it directly addresses the mechanical error your assessment revealed. Quality over quantity, always.

  • 03
    Pocket Specialist™

Recorded on your phone before you leave

Your exact exercises — reps, sets, and form cues — recorded on your phone in the final minutes of the session. Not a paper sheet. Your correction, in your pocket, forever.

  • 04
    Progressive loading

Increase load safely as your tissue adapts

As tolerance builds, we progress the range, load, and speed — so your body adapts and stays resilient. The goal is tissue that can handle real life, not just a treatment room.

How Your Body Adapts

As you begin corrective exercise, mild fatigue or soreness is normal — similar to the "worked" feeling after new training. This usually settles within 24–48 hours as your body adapts.

Most patients notice movement becoming easier, posture improving, and daily activities feeling less strained as progress builds. The exercises are the treatment — not a supplement to it. Consistency is everything.

Three jobs between sessions: do your home movements exactly as recorded, track which activities make you better or worse, and stay moving — rest makes mechanical pain worse, not better.

The Difference Targeted Exercise Makes

Before You Book

How do you decide which exercises I get?

Your assessment guides the entire plan. We select exercises that address your specific movement deficits and directional bias — then progress them as your tolerance improves. Nothing is generic.

How do you measure progress beyond "it feels better"?

We track movement quality, load tolerance, range of motion, and symptom response — with AiM Lab objective data when deeper precision is needed. Feeling better is a signal. We also need to know why it's better.

What if pain flares with a new drill?

We adjust immediately. Mild soreness is normal — persistent pain means the load, range, or timing needs refining. We never push through. We recalibrate.

Do I need to keep coming back once I have my exercises?

The goal is always discharge. Once your movement pattern is corrected and your load tolerance is restored, you shouldn't need ongoing appointments. We build toward an end point — not a standing booking.

If We Can't Find It, We'll Find Who Can.

You don't need to figure out which service you need before booking. The assessment tells us. And if we can't identify your mechanical driver — we say so.

The Roadmap Guarantee

We don't build care plans around uncertainty. If we don't find your mechanical driver in session one, or meaningful change within two to three weeks, we give you a direct roadmap to the specific specialist in Toronto who can. You leave with an answer — no matter what.
