"Root-cause care vs. chasing symptoms. Most clinics treat the spot that hurts. We look at the kinetic chain — how your whole body moves under load. That's how we find the why, not just the where."

The Difference Between Treating Pain and Resolving It

When a circuit breaker keeps tripping, you can replace the bulb as many times as you want. Until you find the wiring fault causing the overload, the breaker trips again. Pain works exactly the same way.

Standard rehab is bulb-replacement. The same spot. The same treatment. The same temporary relief. MVMT Kinetic finds the wiring fault — the mechanical loading error that's been sensitizing your tissue every day.

Site treatment

Treats the location of pain

Focused on the area that hurts. Provides relief while the cause continues loading the same tissue.

Root-cause resolution

Treats the source of loading

Identifies the movement pattern driving the problem. Changes the pattern. The tissue recovers and stays recovered.

Generic protocol

Same exercises, every patient

Pre-set rehab progressions applied regardless of your specific mechanical driver or directional bias.

Directional prescription

Built from your assessment

Every exercise selected because of what your movement pattern reveals — not pulled from a standard protocol.

The kinetic chain assessment — where the root cause is found

The Kinetic Chain. Why It Changes Everything.

Pain at one location is almost never caused only at that location. Your body moves as a connected chain — foot to hip to spine to shoulder. When one link in that chain is stiff, weak, or moving incorrectly, the links above and below compensate. Over time, those compensations overload tissue. That overloaded tissue becomes sensitized. That sensitized tissue becomes your pain.

An MRI shows a static picture of you lying still. It cannot show how a joint loads under movement, which direction provokes your symptoms, or what's actually driving the problem. Movement tells us what imaging never can.

  • 1

    Directional movement testing

Pain that changes with specific movements — better in extension, worse in flexion — tells us exactly which mechanical pattern is driving it. This is the core of root-cause diagnosis.

  • 2

    Joint relationship assessment

When one joint is restricted, the joints above and below are forced to compensate — absorbing load they were never designed for. We assess how your joints interact under movement, not just in isolation. Examples: hip-spine relationship, shoulder-thoracic mechanics, knee-hip loading patterns.

  • 3

    Load tolerance assessment

We test how your tissue responds to load — not just whether it hurts, but how pain moves and changes. Centralisation of symptoms tells us the tissue is correcting. Peripheralisation tells us to back off.

  • 4

    Neurological screening

We distinguish functional nerve tension from true radiculopathy — so you know when imaging is genuinely warranted and when it isn't. Red flags get caught. Incidental findings don't become the diagnosis.

Five Things Your Previous Physio Never Told You

These aren't opinions. They're documented clinical realities — pulled directly from peer-reviewed research and the same assessment framework used by Ontario's leading diagnostic clinicians.

  • 01
The Imaging Gap: Why your scan looks "normal" while you're still in constant pain — and what the image was never designed to show MRI and X-ray capture structure. They cannot capture behaviour. Whether it's your shoulder, your knee, your hip, or your spine — imaging shows you lying still. It cannot show how that joint loads when you move, which direction provokes your symptoms, or what's actually driving the problem. Findings labelled "degeneration" or "wear and tear" are present in millions of pain-free people. The image is not the diagnosis.
  • 02
The Directional Secret: Why a 60-second movement test tells us more about your pain than any scan — and why your previous rehab specialist never ran it Every mechanical pain has a directional bias. Certain movements make it worse. Others make it better. That pattern — unique to you — is the mechanical fingerprint of your problem. It tells us what's loading incorrectly, which direction to correct it, and exactly what your treatment plan should be built around. No imaging required. No guesswork.
  • 03
The Effort Trap: Why the exercises you were given may be the reason your pain keeps returning — regardless of how consistently you do them Generic exercises applied without a directional assessment are a coin flip. If the movement loads the tissue in the same direction that sensitized it in the first place, you feel better temporarily and worse an hour later. It doesn't matter how disciplined you are. The direction of the correction matters as much as the exercise itself. Consistency applied to the wrong prescription is wasted effort.
  • 04
The Compensation Pattern: Why the place you feel pain is rarely where the loading fault originates — and why treating the symptom site alone guarantees the pain returns Your body moves as a connected chain. When one link is restricted or weak, the links above and below compensate. Over time those compensations overload tissue elsewhere — and that overloaded tissue becomes your pain. A shoulder, a knee, a hip, a neck — each can be the site of symptoms while the source of loading lives somewhere else entirely. Finding that source is the only way to stop the cycle.
  • 05
The Winning Signal: The one thing that happens during movement that tells us your tissue is correcting — and that most patients stop doing because they think it means something is wrong When pain changes location or intensity during specific movements — moving closer to the joint, reducing, or shifting — that is clinical information, not a warning. It tells us the tissue is responding to mechanical input. Patients who understand this keep doing what's working. Patients who don't, stop. The difference between a 3-visit resolution and a 3-month plateau is often this single piece of knowledge.

The MVMT Kinetic Way

Every session follows the same principle: test, treat, retest. We don't apply a routine — we respond to what your body shows us. If the first intervention changes something meaningful, we build on it. If it doesn't, we adjust immediately.

  • 01
    Assessment

    Listen and test

We assess how you move and what actually changes your symptoms — directional testing, neurological screen, hip-spine evaluation. Clear answers, no guessing. The driver is identified before any treatment begins.

  • 02
    In-session

    Change something today

One or two targeted interventions — hands-on, corrective movement, or both — that produce a measurable change before you leave. Not "you'll feel it in a few sessions." Today.

  • 03
    Pocket Specialist™

Your exact correction, on your phone

We record your precise 3-move correction — reps, sets, and form cues — directly on your phone before you leave. Not a paper sheet. Not a generic diagram. Your specific fix, in your pocket, forever.

  • 04
    Long-term

    Build load tolerance that lasts

When to load, when to mobilise, how to progress. Timing that restores full function rather than managing the same symptoms indefinitely. The goal is discharge — not dependency.

Four Pillars. Every Session.

01

One-on-one. Always.

Your full appointment with Mohammad — no assistants, no hand-offs, no sharing the hour. The same clinician assesses you, treats you, and builds your plan every time.

02

Hands-on when it helps

Manual therapy, joint mobilisation, and soft-tissue work to restore range and calm sensitised tissue — used when it adds clinical value, never as a default.

03

Education you can actually use

You'll understand your triggers, your calmers, and the cues to trust. Patients who understand their condition recover faster and stay recovered longer.

04

Data when precision matters

AiM Lab testing quantifies strength, symmetry, balance, and movement efficiency — so decisions are grounded in objective data, not guesswork.

The Management Loop vs. The Results-First Model

Standard physiotherapy asks you to invest your time, money, and hope — and return week after week hoping something eventually sticks. MVMT Kinetic inverts that equation. We find the mechanical driver in session one. You feel the shift before you leave. The effort is ours. The result is yours.

MVMT Kinetic Is Built For You If—

  • You've tried rehab before and it didn't last

Physio, chiro, osteo, massage — you got relief. Then the pain came back. The problem was never resolved — it was managed.

  • Your MRI "looks fine" but you're still in pain

85–90% of back pain has no identifiable structural cause on imaging. The circuit is sensitive — it is not broken.

  • You want to understand what's actually happening

You'll leave every session knowing your triggers, your calmers, and exactly what your plan is building toward.

  • You're an active person who needs to keep moving

Controlled progressive movement is the treatment — not rest. If you want to train through recovery, that's exactly how we design your plan.

  • You want one clinician who knows your full picture

No assistants. No hand-offs. Mohammad assesses you, treats you, and builds your plan — every single session.

  • You're ready for results, not more management

The goal is discharge — not a standing appointment. We build toward resolution from session one.

If We Can't Find It, We'll Find Who Can.

You've already invested time, money, and hope in treatments that didn't resolve the root cause. We understand exactly why that makes you cautious. So here is our explicit commitment — in plain language.

Your first visit includes

  • Full mechanical movement assessment — directional testing and neurological screen
  • Identification of your specific mechanical driver — your pattern, not a generic label
  • Hands-on treatment designed to produce a measurable in-session clinical shift
  • Pocket Specialist™ correction recorded on your phone before you leave
  • A clear explanation of what we found, why it keeps recurring, and what full resolution looks like — if it is related to biomechanics
The Roadmap Guarantee

We don't build care plans around uncertainty. If we don't find your mechanical driver in session one, or meaningful change within two to three weeks, we give you a direct roadmap to the specific specialist in Toronto who can. You leave with an answer — no matter what.
